One, two, three, four...
(Paul McCartney) It's always good to be in America.
It feels really cool. There's a great feeling out there.
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.
A little bit of rock and roll. Let's go!
(Paul McCartney) We have come to rock you tonight!
(Howard Stern) I saw the best rock concert ever! It was Paul McCartney.
(Paul McCartney) There's just something in the air. The audiences are wild.
(Geoff Baker) We will never see the like of this again.
This is the epitome of rock and roll.
(Chris Carter) He wrote all of these songs.
The most iconic guitar in the world today, the Hoefner.
Part of the whole fabric of becoming conscious is listening to his music.
Yesterday
All my troubles seemed so far away...
(Paul McCartney) It really does remind me
of this sort of energy coming of Beatles'audiences, and the only difference is
they're not just a lot of 1 6-year-old girls.
...I believe in yesterday
(Brian Wilson) I can't wait to see the electricity
of his personality. He's an electric performer.
I gotta, like, pay a little homage to the man.
(Paul McCartney) We'rejust having a great time.
Don't ask me why or how. It's just, it's happening.
- I say hello - Hello goodbye, hello goodbye
(Paul McCartney) Ready? We're ready. Who's ready?
Let us do it for these fine people here tonight
and you keep this uplifting spirit going!
That's it!
You say yes
I say no
You say stop
And I say go, go, go
Oh, no
You say goodbye
And I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
I say high
You say low
You say why
But I say I don't know
Oh, no
You say goodbye, but I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Why, why, why, why, why
Why do you say goodbye
Goodbye
Oh, no
You say goodbye
But I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
You say yes
I say no
You say stop
But I say go, go, go
Oh, no
You say goodbye, but I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Hello, hello
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello
Whoa-whoa, whoa-whoa
Hello
Hey-la, hey, hello ha
- Hey-la, hey, hello ha - Oh, yeah
Hey-la, hey, hello ha
Hey-la, hey, hello ha
- Hey-la, hey, hello ha - Come on, baby
Hey-la, hey, hello ha
I don't know why you say goodbye I say hello
Whoa-whoa, whoa-whoa
Hello
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Jet!
Jet!,Jet!
I can almost remember their funny faces
That time you told me
That you were goin' to be marrying soon
And Jet
I thought the only lonely place
- Was on the moon - Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo-oo
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo-oo
Jet!
Was your father as bold as a sergeant major?
How come he told you
That you were hardly old enough yet?
And Jet
I thought the major was a lady suffragette
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Ah, Mater
Want Jet to always love me
Ah, Mater
Want Jet to always love me
Ah, Mater
Much later
Ooh, what she said
Ooh, what she said
Jet!
And Jet
I thought the major was a lady suffragette
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Ah, Mater
Want Jet to always love me
Ah, Mater
Do you know I want Jet to always love me
Ah, Mater
Much later
Ooh, she said
Jet!
With the wind in your hair of a thousand laces
Climb on the back
And we'll go for a ride in the sky
And Jet
I thought the major was a lady suffragette
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo
Ooh, yeah don't you know that I
Thought the major was a lady suffragette?
Jet!
Oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo oo-oo
Lovely lady
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
I lost my job recently, so I couldn't afford to get tickets.
And so we thought we'd come down here anyway and see if we can get in.
But it's probably not going to happen.
So I don't know what I'm going to do.
Paul has, like, influenced every aspect of my life. Paul is just amazing.
The Beatles changed the world. And we're here, and there's only,
you know, only a handful of people
that you can really share it,
you know, with the same enthusiasm with your kids.
"Dear Paul McCartney.
I think you are really, really cool.
I am one of your biggest fans.''
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true
And then while I'm away
I'll write home ev'ry day
And I'll send all my loving to you
I'll pretend that I'm kissing
The lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true
And then while I'm away
I'll write home ev'ry day
And I'll send all my loving to you
All my loving
I will send to you
All my loving
Darling, I'll be true
Yeah!
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true
And then while I'm away
I'll write home ev'ry day
And I'll send all my loving to you
All my loving
I will send to you
All my loving
Darling, I'll be true
All my loving
All my loving
Oo, oo all my loving
I will send to you
Yeah! Thank you!
My name is Bob Hood. I am the pyro-technician for the tour.
What are you going to demo for me?
- What do you want to see? - This one and that.
- You want to see a flash pot? - Flash pot.
These are flash charges for the "Live And Let Die'' number.
Half-ounce charge mixed together with an electric igniter in it,
which we then place in this flash pot
to create a bright flash and a large puff of smoke.
Three, two, one.
At one point during the song,
I just start doing random shots back and forth. The last cue of the song
is four 1 S-1 9S, four 1 S-1 9S, percussion.
Boom, end of song, end of pyro. That's it.
When you were young and your heart was an open book
You used to say live and let live
You know you did, you know you did
You know you did
But in this ever changing world
In which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
Live and let die
- Live and let die - Let it die!
Live and let die
What does it matter to ya
When you got a job to do You got to do it well
You got to give the other fella hell
Yeah!
You used to say live and let live
You know you did, you know you did
You know you did
But in this ever changing world
In which we live in
Makes you give in and cry
Say live and let die
Live and let die
- Live and let die - Let it die
Live and let die
Whoa!
Whoa!
It's a fine day. The mountains are high.
- How many packs are you up to a day? -Just one.
One?
How many packs are you up to?
- Two or three. - Good.
One! You're a bit worried about one?
We setting up for a trip,
and we getting prepared for the Paul McCartney concert.
So y'all respect it, all right?
You know what I'm saying? Paul McCartney 2002!
(Paul McCartney) There's something about this time in America
and something about the fact
that we're really ready to play.
We're looking forward to it each night.
We wanna sort of show our songs off to the audience.
Hey, gang! How you doing?
All right! All right. Take it easy. We'll do it.
Oh, thank you. Thank you, thank you.
- Quick, guy. - Thank you so much.
We've gone to, like, four cities, trying to get your autograph.
Okay. We're holding up the police here.
We're going to get in trouble.
Okay! Sound check me, baby.
Geoffrey! Paul!
We got to get on with the sound check.
- All right! Is this new? - Yeah.
It's all off, man.
The thing about the band is they're really good players
and they got great attitudes.
Brian plays really good bass. They sing great harmonies.
I just like the noise they make...
the sound Rusty gets on his guitar.
Abe's a serious drummer.
- M'sieurWickens! - M'sieurMcCartney!
(Paul McCartney) And Wix on keyboard
is sensational, holds us all together.
If you've got a group of guys
who all have the same attitude-- they wanna come,
they wanna play, they enjoy music--
then it makes it a real pleasure coming in every day.
Maybe I'm amazed that you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I "leave'' you. Not "need''.
"Coming up.'' He knows it. We know it. Let's do it.
Coming up!
One, two, three, four...
It is great to see someone who has done so much in their life,
and has written so many songs, and done so many gigs,
and broken so much ground,
and still wants to do more.
You want a love to last forever
One that will never fade away...
When I was a kid, I had dreams that The Beatles would come to my door
with their guitars and stuff and say, "Hi! You wanna play?''
And I'm like, "Yeah!''
And I'd wake up and be sad because it was only a dream.
And then we're in the studio recording.
And towards the end of that, Paul is like
"Hey, man! I had a dream about you last night.''
And that was like ch-rrr.
I said to the guys that this is going to be the biggest buzz
they're ever going to have. The first time, go out, do that,
in front of people.
These songs with this guy, the right voice
singing those songs, and you're all part of it.
...And I say, it's coming up
It's coming up...
You can see on the faces of the people
that are sitting in front of you,
their own sort of sense memories getting touched
when a song starts up, and they recognize the first few notes.
And they just light up in a way,
and they actually get younger for a second.
You want a better kind of future
One that everyone can share
You're not alone We all could use it
We can make it We're nearly there
It's coming up
It's coming up
- It's coming up - Like a flower
- Coming up - I say
- Coming up - Pretty baby
- Coming up - Ooh, yeah
- Coming up - Like a flower
Coming up
Yeah
Oh, it's coming up
Oh, yeah
This is the bit in the show where they all go away
and they leave me alone with you.
Just me and you. I can handle it if you can.
The song I'm gonna sing now was written in the '60s where there
was a lot of troubles in the southern states of America,
particularly over civil rights.
And I don't know if any of you know,
but in England, sometimes we call girls "birds,"
you know?
And I kind of wrote this song with that in mind.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
Mmmm
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird, fly
Blackbird, fly
Into the light of the dark, black night
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
Mmmm
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird, fly
Blackbird, fly
Into the light of the dark, black night
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Won't you take these sunken eyes and learn to see?
'Cause all your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free
You were only waiting
For this moment to be free
'Cause you were only waiting
For this moment to be free
Blackbird, fly
Into the light of the dark, black night
(Paul McCartney) Something new for me-- I'm plucking up
the courage to get up there and do stuff one-on-one.
Some of the songs, I'll do them in the way I wrote them.
Always, you write and sing unaccompanied by band members,
and then you bring the arrangement,
and you get it sorted with the band.
But the first little thing you write is either on a guitar
orjust alone at a piano. I just thought it would be fun.
You know, I gotta pluck up a bit of courage to do it,
because I've normally got the security blanket of a band behind me.
As I was walking down the street one fine and...
No. No! I'm sorry.
Try to see it my way
Do I have to keep on talking till I can't go on?
While you see it your way
Run the risk of knowing that our love may soon be gone
We can work it out
We can work it out
Think of what you're saying
You can get it wrong and still you think that it's all right
Think of what I'm saying
We can work it out and get it straight or say good night
We can work it out
We can work it out
Life is very short
And there's no time
For fussing and fighting, my friend
I have always thought
That it's a crime
So I will ask you once again
Try to see it my way
Only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong
While you see it your way
There's a chance that we might fall apart
Before too long
We can work it out
We can work it out
La, la, la,
La, la, la, la
(Paul McCartney) If you play acoustic guitar,
that's how you play acoustic guitar.
And a few people around mejust sort of said
"Well, you know, boy, if you could pull it off, it'd be very intimate. "
When I was in seventh grade, I was at my aunt's house
and I saw them on Ed Sullivan, and I'm gonna cry.
And they were in my first wedding, two songs,
"Here, There and Everywhere'' and "Here Comes the Sun''.
I love him, and I'm so excited. I was too poor to go back then,
but my husband brought me this time.
I need my love to be here
Here
Making each day of the year
Changing my life with the wave of her hand
Nobody can
Deny that there's something there
There
Running my hands through her hair
Both of us thinking how good it can be
Someone is speaking
But she doesn't know he's there
I want her ev'rywhere
And if she's beside me
I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her
Ev'rywhere
Knowing that love is to share
Each one believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes
And hoping I'm always there
I want her ev'rywhere
And if she's beside me
I know I need never care
But to love her is to need her
Ev'rywhere
Knowing that love is to share
Oooh-ooh
Each one believing that love never dies
Watching her eyes
And hoping I'm always there
To be there
And ev'rywhere
Here, there and ev'rywhere
Ooohhh
(Paul McCartney) I think what I do really,
is just sit down and think of some songs
that if I was in the audience I'd wanna hear him play.
So I take that attitude with my shows.
I just start off and think,
"What would I like to see him do?
"I'd like "Maybe I'm Amazed. ' That'd be cool,
and, oh, what about "Eleanor Rigby'?"
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, picks up the rice
In the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window
Wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father McKenzie, writing the words to his sermon
That no one will hear
No one comes near
Look at him working
Darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby, Died in the church
And was buried along with her name
Nobody came
Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt from his hands
As he walks from the grave No one was saved
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
As soon as everything gets to the building,
I take it all off the trucks.
I get my crew to work with the local crew.
Six hours to be show-ready on the in.
We can get out of here in two-and-a-half hours.
Everything's a team effort on this.
Thank you.
I am making sure that all our hotels look after us wherever we go.
(Scott Chase) We got 1 2 trucks on this tour.
I have a crew of 60. They're travelling with us,
and I use another crew of close to 80.
When we get in here, if anyone screws up during the day--
Well, things can go wrong. Everything depends on
everybody else to make sure that everything goes right.
I kind of relate it to a club sandwich.
It's a bunch of levels. So you start peeling off
the levels, put it in the truck,
take it to the next town, which is L.A.
And we'll get to L.A. and build the club sandwich again.
Laptops, pagers and mobile phones
That's what we've got in this world now
Laptops, pagers and mobile phones
Even when you're at a show
Ring your mom up and let her know
That the band is doing "Hey,Jude''
Hey, Mom, listen to this! Mobile phones
They're all mad! They've all lost it.
They all need to go home and have a long rest.
What's he gonna do next?
Hey,Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you'll begin
To make it better
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-ooh oh-oh
Yeah!
Whoo! Okay, a little matchy-boxy.
Well, I'm sittin' here wond'rin'
With a matchbox hole in my clothes
Yeah, I'm sittin' here wond'rin'
With a matchbox hole in my clothes
I ain't got no matches
Got a long way to go
Let me be your little dog till your big dog comes
Let me be your little dog till your big dog comes
And when your big dog gets here
Watch that puppy dog run
Well, I'm sittin' here wond'rin'
With a matchbox hole in my clothes
Yeah, I'm sittin' here wond 'rin'
With a matchbox hole in my clothes
I ain't got no matches Got a long way to go
The guy's cell phone's not working.
Let me be your little dog till your big dog comes...
We're in some kind of mobile phone hell.
...Till your big dog comes
And when your big dog gets here
Watch this puppy dog run
Let me be your little dog
Till your big dog comes
Let me be your little dog
Till your big dog comes...
- Paul McCartney fan! - Beatles forever!
I'm still shaking. I'm hoarse.
- We love Paul. - He is so cool.
He's handsome. He's gorgeous. He's got a mind of his own.
- Hey, Paul! - Hey, Paul!
I wanna come again tomorrow, I need two tickets.
I'd like to do this next song
for someone special here, who this song was written for.
This is for Heather. This is for you.
How can I
Hope to reach your love
Help me to discover
What it is you're thinking of...
(Paul McCartney) I wrote one of the songs of "Driving Rain"
because one morning, I was just getting up,
and there was a piano in the room, and I was jamming.
(Heather Mills) He started playing this piece,
and I went "Oh, my God! That's fantastic. "
I said, "Was that one of The Beatles'?" And he said...
(Paul McCartney) "I'm just making it up. "
(Heather Mills) I said, "Keep playing. Let me get a tape. "
(Paul McCartney) She was brought up on classical music,
so she actually didn't know many of The Beatles'lyrics,
unlike a lot of people in the world, you know.
So she would be listening to the radio.
She said, "Oh, that's pretty good.
What's that one? Is that one of yours?"
I said, "Yes, that's "Get Back' by The Beatles.
That's one of mine. That's me singing. "
...'Cause when we kiss
Nothing feels the same
I can spend eternity
Inside your loving flame
Ooh, ooh
- So tell me how - Tell me how
- How to reach your love - Your love
Help me to discover
What it is your thinking of
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh
How can I
Hope to reach your love?
Here forever
In your loving flame
(Paul McCartney) You just want to get famous. You wanna make money.
You wanna pull girls--
That's what being a rock and roll band was all about really.
But it's not like that now, you know.
Wouldn't dare pull girls. It's more than my life's worth.
And you wouldn't want to.
(Paul McCartney) It's just about different things now.
I'm not listening to her. I'm not listening to you!
I said, "And you wouldn't want to.''
You better say that, or you're in trouble.
I can't listen to you and do an interview.
Say you wouldn't want to, or I'll keep interrupting.
All right. So anyway, uh.
Okay. You too. I'm looking forward to seeing you. Bye!
Okay. Shouting from the kitchen. Get back to the dishes!
You meant to say that you wouldn't want to.
It makes it sound like I force ya.
Well, you do, shouting at me from the kitchen.
Get back in! Go do the dishes!
Go on! Go on! I've got command over this woman.
You'll pay for this later, won't you?
(Paul McCartney) The stuff that we use on "Fool on the Hill"
is from "Magical Mystery Tour. " So I said, "Let's just take
"one camera down to the south of France and wait until the sun comes up,
"and I'll just goof around, and I'll just sing it. "
And that's the footage we use now.
Day after day
Alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answer
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round
Well on the way
His head in a cloud
The man with a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to notice
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round
Chu chu chu chu
Chu chu chu chu chu
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo
And nobody seems to like him
You could tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelings
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round
Chu chu chu chu
Doo doo doo doo
Around and round and round and round and round
And round and round round, round
And he never listens to them
He knows that they're the fools
They don't like him
But the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning 'round
Chu chu chu chu
Around and round and round
And round and round and round
Ooh, round and round and round
Just a fool on a hill
Yeah, he is the fool on the hill
Well, he's the fool
On the hill
You know what?
Why do I get the feeling we're going to have some fun?
Ow! Ow, ow, ow, ow!
All right.
Sometimes when you write a song and you record it,
if you're not going out on tour, that's maybe the last time
you ever do it. That's the vocal. You've done it.
This next song we're going to do is from the '60s,
and that's one of those songs.
I've never actually done this song live until this tour.
So, here we go!
Two, three, four...
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school
The teachers that taught me weren't cool
You're holding me down, turning me round
Filling me up with your rules
I admit, it's getting better,
A little better all the time
It can't get no worse
I admit, it's getting better
It's getting better since you've been mine
I used to be angry young man
Me hiding me head in the sand
You gave me the word I finally heard
I'm doing the best that I can
And I admit, it's getting better
A little better all the time
It can't get no worse
I admit, it's getting better
It's getting better since you've been mine
Getting so much better all the time
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better
I used to be cruel to my woman
I beat her and kept her apart
From the things that she loved
Man, I was mean but I'm changing my scene
And I'm doing the best that I can
I admit, it's getting better
A little better all the time
It can't get no worse
Yes, I admit, it's getting better
It's getting better since you've been mine
Getting so much better all the time
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better
It's getting better all the time
Better, better, better
Getting so much better all the time
Getting so much better all the time
Getting so much better all the time
I wrote this next song after my dear friend John passed away.
(Paul McCartney) When you're guys,
you goof around a lot. You don't actually
sit down and say, "John, let mejust tell you.
You know, I think you're a marvelous musician, and I really love you. "
And if I say
I really knew you well what would your answer be?
If you were here today
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Here today
Well, knowing you
You'd probably laugh and say
That we were worlds apart
If you were here today
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Here today
But as for me
I still remember how it was before
And I am holding back
The tears no more
No, no, no
I love you
Ooh
What about the time we met
Well, I suppose that you could say
That we were playing hard to get
Didn't understand a thing
But we could always sing
What about the night we cried
Because there wasn't any reason left
To keep it all inside
Never understood a word
But you were always there
With a smile
And if I say
I really loved you and was glad you came along
Then you were here today
Ooh, ooh, ooh
For you were in my song
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Here today
(Paul McCartney) I don't if many of you know,
but George was a sensational ukulele player.
What would happen is if you go along and visit George,
after you had something to eat,
the ukuleles would come out.
I said to him, you know, "I do a little song on ukulele,''
and I played it for him.
I'll do it for you tonight as a tribute to George.
Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover
Something in the way she moves me
I don't want to leave her now
Well, you know I believe and how
Mm, mm, mmm, mm, mmm, mm
You're asking me will my love grow
I don't know
I don't know
Just stick around
And it may show
I don't know
I don't know
Something in the way she knows
And all I have to do is think of her
Something in the things she shows me
I don't want to leave her now
Oh, now, you know I believe and how
Ooh, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
- So, what's happening? - Radio.
Paul McCartney. Thank you very much. On WDOK.
When you were young and probably back with The Beatles,
It was about fame. It was about money.
Now, you have all of that. What's it about now?
Fame and money.
(Paul McCartney) I like the fame because of what
you can do for charity and for things, you know.
I think if your heart's in the right place,
you can do a lot of great stuff.
Well, we sure are in Washington, aren't we?
The whole thing for me is put the charities together, so we can work together.
Heather and I together can lend our celebrity and say,
you know, this is how we feel.
Don't you think that we should keep the focus now on the land mine?
(Sen. Leahy) And I'll make sure we get the people backing up.
Hi. This is Paul McCartney, and you're listening to
"Breakfast with The Beatles" and Chris Carter.
We are back. 9 7.1 KLSX "Breakfast with The Beatles. ''
(Chris Carter) So we have Paul from L.A. on his cell phone,
who knows the answer to this week's quiz question.
(Paul McCartney) Hi, Chris! How you doing?
- I've got the answer. - You do?
Yeah. The answer is vegetables, isn't it?
That is correct. Vegetables.
Let's go! This way!
Okay, guys. All right! Quick! Move it!
This is going to be spontaneous. Impromptu, fun.
Thank you.
Yeah. That's very nice. Yeah. It looks all right to me.
Like, it looks all right for the girl, like.
Groovy. Not bad. Hey!
Paul McCartney.
We have some concert footage we wanna show the folks here.
- Does it need any set-up? - I don't think so.
All right. Let's take a look. Here we go. Here's Paul.
Stuck inside these four walls
Sent inside forever
Never seeing no one
Nice again
Like you, mama
You, mama
You
If I ever get out of here
Thought of giving it all away
To a registered charity
All I need is a pint a day
If I ever get out of here
If we ever get outta here
Well, the rain exploded with a mighty crash
As we fell into the sun
And the first one said to the second one there
I hope you're having fun
Band on the run
Band on the run
And the Jailer Man and Sailor Sam
Were searching every one
For the band on the run
- For the band on the run - Oh, yeah
Band on the run
Band on the run
Well, the undertaker drew a heavy sigh
Seeing no one else had come
And a bell was ringing in the village square
For the rabbits on the run
Band on the run
Band on the run
And the Jailer Man and Sailor Sam
Were searching every one
For the band on the run
Band on the run
Yeah, for the band on the run
- For the band on the run - Yeah, yeah
For the band on the run
- For the band on the run - Yeah, yeah
Well, the night was falling as the desert world
Began to settle down
In the town they're searching for you everywhere
- But we never will be found - Oh, no
Band on the run
Band on the run
And the county judge
Who held a grudge
Will search forever more
For the band on the run
- For the band on the run - Yeah, yeah
- For the band on the run - Yeah, yeah, yeah
- For the band on the run - Oh, yeah
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Hello! Oh, yeah!
Good audience.
You gave me something
I understand
You gave me loving
In the palm of my hand
I can't tell you
How I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
I want to tell you
And now's the time
I want to tell you
That you're going to be mine
I can't tell you
How I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
- Let me roll it - I want to roll it
Let me roll it to you
I can't tell you
How I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
- Let me roll it - I want to roll it, baby
Let me roll it to you
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
You gave me something
I understand
You gave me loving
In the palm of my hand
I can't tell you
How I feel
My heart is like a wheel
Let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
Let me roll it
Come on, baby, let me roll it
Let me roll it to you
